The time is almost here for the much anticipated solar eclipse that will be traveling across the United States – and perfectly through Oregon so that many of us can see either a total or nearly full eclipse! It should be a very interesting and awe inspiring event. I thought it might be helpful to post a couple of links for suggestions on how to prepare for it, as well as information on how to enjoy it safely.
- Smarter Every Day has a fun and informative video on what a solar eclipse is like
- Great American Eclipse can tell you what time to expect the action to happen where you’re at
- Oregon’s Office of Emergency Management has a helpful article on how to prepare
- NASA has a helpful FAQ page on eclipse viewing safety
I hope you’re able to step outside and witness this special event, and I’m excited to hear all your stories and experiences!
